Prof Eu Kong Weng is the Senior Consultant Surgeon Colorectal Surgeons, Inc. (CSI). His clinical areas of interest are in minimally invasive surgery, specialising in laparoscopic and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer and the management of all colorectal conditions.
Prof Eu graduated with a medical degree from the National University of Singapore, and fulfilled his residency and fellowships at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has also served a training stint as an advanced trainee and clinical fellow at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation (USA). Prior to establishing his practice at Colorectal Surgeons, Inc., Prof Eu was Head of Department for Colorectal Surgery at Singapore General Hospital (2003 – 2010), one of the most progressive colorectal surgical units in the region. He was also the Senior Consultant Surgeon and Chief of the Pacific Surgical & Colorectal Centre and the Medical Director of the Pacific Surgical and Endoscopy Centre (2011-2013).
A dedicated teacher and mentor at heart, he is currently an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School (Singapore) and a visiting professor at the University of Hong Kong. Prof Eu’s work is widely published in peer reviewed journals and colorectal surgery textbooks, and produced into colorectal surgery training videos.
