Dr. Cheong You Wei earned his Master of General Surgery degree after previously completing his medical degree and his training at the University of Malaya. Dr. Cheong then trained and carried out his Master of Plastic Surgery at the university. He also completed an International Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Cheong is registered with Malaysia's Ministry of Health, on the National Specialist Registry, and is also certified with the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniofacial Surgeons (MAPACS). Having spoken at various seminars and forums, he has also been interviewed on radio and in a number newspapers and magazines. He has also lectured at the University Putra Malaysia's Department of Surgery. He has published several research papers and has co-authored texts on plastic surgery.
