Dermatologist

Dr. Ting Hoon Chin graduated with a MBBS from the University of Malaya in 1972. He trained at the University Hospital Kuala Lumpur and later at the St. John’s Hospital of Skin Diseases in London, obtaining his MRCP (Member, Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom) in 1976 and Diploma in Dermatology (London) in 1979. He was awarded the Diploma in Venerealogy in 1984. Dr. Ting is also a member of the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Ting was a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya from 1977-1983 and Associate Professor and Consultant Dermatologist at the same faculty from 1983-1991. He left the University to start his own dermatology practice in 1991.

Dr. Ting has published many papers in scientific journals and was a speaker and member of the teaching faculty at many medical conferences. He was the President of the Dermatology Society of Malaysia from 1988 - 1990, member of the Editorial board of the Journal of Dermatology of Malaysia from 1987-1999 and council member of the Asian Dermatology Association from 1986 till now. He is on the Star Health and Ageing panel and contributes articles to the “Fit for Life “publication of the Sunday Star.
