Adjunct Assistant Professor Dr. Aravind Kumar is a fellowship trained (UK & Australia) Orthopaedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience practising in Australia, Singapore and the UK with a special interest in managing spinal conditions. He has extensive experience in conditions such as slipped discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, fractures etc. which can lead to back pain, leg or arm pain and deformity. Some of the conditions that he has successfully managed include:
- prolapsed intervertebral discs
- degenerative disc disease
- disc bulges
- nerve root impingements
- radiculopathy
- back pain
- spinal fractures
- scoliosis
Dr Aravind has significant experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as MIS-TLIF, MIS-XLIF, MIS-ALIF and MIS fracture stabilisation. These minimally invasive techniques are known to enable quicker patient recovery and return to function. He also employs endoscopic surgery for certain indications. He also has experience in the use of computer navigation aided surgery that helps to improve the accuracy of spinal surgery.
