Dr. Chua Wei Han is Medical Director and Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Parkway Eye Centre @ Mount Elizabeth. He is also Visiting Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre; Adjunct Research Scientist at the Singapore Eye Research Institute; and Clinical Teacher at the National University of Singapore.

Dr. Chua Wei Han graduated as top medical student with honours from the University of Newcastle, Australia and obtained his higher degrees in Ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore and Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Chua is also a member of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, and the Asia Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Chua Wei Han completed a fellowship in Refractive Surgery & Cornea at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Thereafter, he was Consultant Ophthalmologist in the

Refractive Surgery Service at the Singapore National Eye Centre before assuming his current position.

Dr Chua practices general ophthalmology and sub-specializes in refractive and cataract surgery. In addition to LASIK and advanced surface ablation techniques such as PRK and epi-LASIK using the latest excimer and femtosecond laser technology, Dr Chua also performs phakic intraocular lens surgery using the implantable contact lens to correct myopia, hyperopia and astimgatism.

Dr Chua has presented at more than 70 international scientific meetings and published more than 25 peer-reviewed papers in the areas of refractive errors and LASIK. Dr Chua has also been involved as investigator in several US FDA clinical trials and was awarded the Outstanding Young Investigator award at the inaugural SERI-ARVO meeting.

Sharing his expertise, Dr Chua has conducted training courses in LASIK, basic and advanced cataract surgery to both local and overseas eye doctors. Dr Chua is a key opinion leader in the field of laser vision correction and cataract surgery, having served on several advisory boards of multinational eye care companies.
