Dr. Oh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1995. His post-graduate qualifications include a postgraduate degree in General Surgery from the Fellowship of the Royal Surgeons of Edinburgh, a Master of Medicine (Orthopaedics), Singapore, and a Membership with the Fellowship of the Royal Surgeons of Edinburgh (Orthopaedics).
He has dual sub-specialty areas of training in sports and trauma surgery. Common conditions managed by and common procedures performed by Dr. Oh include:
1. Arthroscopic knee surgery, including ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery and complex repairs for multiple lesions
2. Arthroscopic shoulder surgery, including rotator cuff surgery and Bankart repair
3. Cartilage Regeneration
4. Knee and Shoulder replacement surgery
5. Computer navigation in Knee replacement
Prior to coming on board at IOC, Dr. Oh was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He actively shares his expertise as a clinical teacher to medical and nursing students as well as fellow doctors and surgeons. Between 2007 and 2009, Dr. Oh was an instructor at Arthrocare Shoulder & Knee Arthroscopy workshop and a Masters of Medicine GP course tutor. He is also active in conducting orthopaedic research, which spans from osteoporosis to cartilage regeneration and injuries in children.
