Practitioner Profile

Dr Jendana Chanyaputhipong received her Degree of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics from the National University of Ireland in 2004. Since then, she has been working in Singapore. She completed her Advanced Specialist Training in General Surgery in early 2015. As a specialist at KTPH, she served as a general surgeon in the Acute Care Unit, a specialist for endoscopic interventions of acute gastrointestinal bleeding, and a breast surgeon. During her exposures working at various hospitals, she received several patient service awards (SGH, AH, KTPH).

Apart from being a clinician, she was also appointed clinical tutor for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at National University Singapore and Duke-NUS Medical School. With the love for teaching, she actively mentored medical students and surgical residents. She received several teaching awards for this, namely “Best Tutor (Surgery) Award” from NUS in 2011-2013, “Outstanding Clinical Teacher Award” from YLL School of Medicine in 2015, and “Special Recognition Award for being a Role Model to the Medicine Graduating Class of 2016” from YLL School of Medicine, NUS.

Passionate about providing holistic care to her breast cancer patients, Dr Jendana pursued further subspecialty training in Breast Surgical Oncology in 2016 at Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. During her 2-year period as an international fellow at Siriraj Hospital, she learned the techniques of oncoplastic surgery, immediate or delayed reconstruction using pedicled autologous flap reconstruction and/or implant-based augmentation with or without usage of acellular dermal matrix, and lipofilling as part of the comprehensive treatment for breast cancer patients

In her personal time, Dr Jendana regularly volunteers at mission trips. She is also a dedicated mother and enjoys playing the piano, painting and travelling.
