Professional Statement
Principal Occupational Therapist Sara Yeow is a highly dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist with approximately 10 years of experience working in the private Paediatric therapy setting. Apart from the private sector, her clinical experience also extends to various settings ranging from acute hospitals to the community and school settings. As a mother of 2 children, Paediatrics holds a special place in Sara’s heart as she sincerely believes in the power of early intervention in changing the developmental trajectory and life of a child. This is what made Sara decide on Paediatrics work as her area of specialization almost a decade back. Sara’s wealth of experience enables her to be highly flexible and adaptable in her intervention approach. Coupled with her fun-loving nature and pleasant disposition, Sara builds rapport with any child and their parents and/or caregivers quickly and easily. Her main source of motivation is feeling a huge sense of satisfaction when her little clients make progress through therapy and lead more meaningful lives as a result. In addition to practice, Sara is also passionate about lecturing and advocating. Her belief is that the society can be further educated to better understand the needs of children with learning needs and be guided to make the appropriate accommodations to better support these children in the function of their everyday lives.
